Goemagot came to fruition in November 2011 and progressed exponentially. What began as a project that was going to be just for fun became something serious. Goemagot agreed to release a demo CD on Sevared Records after the owner, Barrett Amiss, saw their first live performance at The Montage Music Hall in March 2012. The band released this demo, Parasitic Incineration, at Sevared Records Brutality Reigns Fest 2 in June of the same year. The band then went on their first tour, Parasitic Incineration Tour, the next month in support of their release. Later that year, they sent off newly recorded material to be released on their full length, Eradication of Insignificant Beings, which was released early 2013 on Sevared Records. The band played several festivals and shows, including Pukefest in Montreal, Quebec and the 1st annual Philthadelphia Infest, in hopes of gaining popularity. They were then booked for Las Vegas Death Fest, so bandmate/co-founder/manager for Goemagot booked a tour, Stumps in the Trunk Tour featuring Animals Killing People, to Las Vegas and back. The success of the tour has gained the band a lot of momentum and helped land shows out of the country once again in Ontario and then a slot on day one of the massive Delaware Death Fest. The band is currently writing new material for a future album release and heads back on the road this January for the Dead in Winter Tour featuring Embalmer and Splattered Entrails. The band records March 15th and will release a new song with a music video and promises that the music surpasses past efforts in quality and content. The band has come a long way in a short time which can be attributed to hard work, creativity, and perseverance. Expect nothing but the best for the future of this upcoming, hard working, do it yourself band.
