ANCIENT SETTLERS is a Spain/France based melodeath band that was formed in 2020 by Rex Chiesa & Herman Riera (Ex-Haboryn), Rene González (Ex-Aesthesis), Emmy Reyes and Antony Hamäläinen (Meridian Dawn, Former Nightrage & Armageddon).
“A Monument Restored” is their latest track, another glimpse of their forthcoming Autumnus EP. The band offer a tightly executed and emotional song that fans of In Flames, 5Rand or Dark Tranquility would likely thrill to hear. The opening lyrics paint a poetic picture of spiritual alienation that stood out to me as strong.
