Swedish melodeath band At The Gates recently announced they would be performing a limited number of reunion performances during 2011. The first two shows announced so far are a performance at Metal Town in Gothenburg, Sweden June 17, 2011. and a July 22, 2011 performance at Tuska Open Air Festival in Helsinki, Finland. These will be the first performances the band has done since 2008.
The band has now announced announced another show for 2011, an April 29, 2011 performance at The Neurotic Death Fest in Tilburg, Holland.
The reunion tour came up after the release of the “The Flames of The End” 3 DVD boxset was released earlier this year on Earache Records. They have not released a studio album since 1995’s “Slaughter of the Soul” which was also released on Earache Records.
(sigh) i need to get to europe to these shows. would love a new album from these guys.
