Last Friday (October 12th) on Australia’s long-running rock station Triple M, Ozzy Osbourne‘s wife/manger Sharon confirmed that Black Sabbath (despite the recent departure of drummer Bill Ward) are finally in the studio recording their new album. In the same topic, she was asked if fans are going to see the band play live in Australia, and she replied:

“Of course you are. Black Sabbath are in the studio right now with Rick Rubin recording and they are going to be touring here in the spring of next year. Definitely.”

You can listen to the interview in its entirety at this location.

The new Sabbath album doesn’t have a release date, but it’ll likely be out next year. Not only will it be the first album under the Black Sabbath name since 1995’s Forbidden, but it’s also their first with Ozzy on vocals since 1978’s Never Say Die.
