Castle enter the “Temple of the Lost” in new video

Stitched Panorama

Dark, bluesy metallic sojourners Castle have a sound to die for and the drive of crusading zealots (with great taste). New album Under Seige is highly anticipated and out May 20th. The release was recorded with Billy Anderson (Neurosis, Sleep, Melvins, Cattle Decap) at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, CA and is sure to help raise the band’s growing profile higher up the Holy Mountain.

Cover art from Denis Farkas Kostromitin (Behemoth) and murky, classic rock indebted yet sludgy rock n roll riffs from the depths of the id will ensure you wander the halls of this Castle for aeons. They say rock (for the most part) is dead and has less of the music “market share” than ever. Maybe we should let it be, cuz the real believers and metal enthusiasts will keep the flame surviving anyway. Let the rest of the world rot in shitty pop oblivion. If it is an uphill battle to convert the masses, well…at least it means the purest bands like Castle, The Great Old Ones, Cormorant, Thou or Baroness (for example) will be THAT much better. Castle are that cherished consolation prize when faced with a world where much other popular music pales in comparison to this diamond band in the shit storm of life. : )

As Rush sing ,”It’s a far cry from the world we thought we’d inherit.” But it’s what we’ve got and you can’t give up on real music.
