The reunited Finnish death metallers Convulse have been back in the studio recording new material for two new releases, which include a vinyl EP featuring two new tracks due for release in November and a new full-length studio album that will be released next year. In regards to the new Convulse, guitarist/vocalist Rami Jämsä states:
“Our new material has a strong old-school death metal feel to it, and the band is tighter than ever before. When recording, we plan to concentrate on the energy brought on by playing everything live — no triggers or Pro Tools. Nothing beats a well-rehearsed band playing live, be it on stage or in the studio.”
Convulse’s last full-length studio album, Reflections, was released in 1994. They split up sometime back in 1995, but reunited earlier this year.
