Cover Art Battle: Tentacles, Chains, & Monsters

Posted by JDKleinhans on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 6:20 PM (PST)

Welcome to Metal Riot’s Cover Art Battle! Every week we try and show the best-of-the-best in metal cover art, ranging from the fantastically illustrated to hauntingly photographed and everything in between.

Sorry we’re a week late on this one (we were busy celebrating St. Patty’s week. Yes. Week). Sorry we’re late, as it was another gloriously decadent week in metal. Anyway, here’s are top ten: Adrenaline Mob, Barren Eearth, Cannibal Corpse, Depths of Hatred, Formloff, Lord Mantis, Sigh, Soulfly, Spawn of Possession, Thunderkraft.

So take your cretin hedonistic ass right here and get to voting!

Album-album-album... cover-cover-cover... vote-vote-vote...

  • Adrenaline Mob - Omerta (Elm City) (61%)
  • Sigh - In Somniphobia (Candlelight) (24%)
  • Formloff - Spyhorelandet (Eisenwald) (4%)
  • Lord Mantis - Pervertor (Candlelight) (3%)
  • Spawn Of Possession - Incurso (Relapse) (2%)
  • Depths Of Hatred - Aversionist (Galy) (1%)
  • Cannibal Corpse - Torture (Metal Blade) (1%)

People are only voting for the mobs because of Portnoy, when in fact thats the worst artwork here. The only ones that really should be in the compatition are Lord mantis, sigh and formloff.
And the soulfly looks like a cheap voivod ripp-off.
