Demon Lung are back, bigger and better in every way. Their previous output was good but A Dracula truly crushes. “Behold, The Daughter” is one of the most insistent marches in ages, like an earthquake wrestling with classic metal and doom riffs (plus a deadly Billy Anderson mix). Fans of the horror themed The Eye record of King Diamond will dig the devilish plot within these 8 songs, while the music could please the snobbiest echelon of hipsters and the more traditional stoner/doom crowd in one savage blow. This is perhaps the most low end of an Anderson produced release since his classic Melvins or more recent Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth work.
“My body is a graveyard and I am haunted,” sings Shanda Fredrick, and the effect is utterly convincing bluesy horror soul.
