Devil Sold His Soul Bio:
The UK has been a hotbed of unique musical talent and one band that has carved out their own distinct niche within the country’s metal scene is DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL, who have received massive critical praise from all major UK rock/metal publications (see below). This dynamically crushing six-piece unit have just signed a worldwide deal with Century Media Records and are currently hard at work recording their much anticipated new album, which is tentatively set for a spring 2010 release.
DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL will be touring across Europe in November and playing a special one off show in London on December the 10th, at the Upstairs of the Relentless Garage, as a way of both celebrating the completion of their album, but also the inking of the deal with Century Media Records. Look out for more UK and European support tours throughout 2010, as well as a headline tour March/April 2010.
Formed from the final embers of the much loved and hugely influential Mahomudo, in 2006 DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL released an EP, Darkness Prevails, that was produced by Mark Williams (Oceansize, Fightstar) through Visible Noise (Lostprophets, Bring Me The Horizon). Soon after though, DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL decided to do things completely their own way. This not only meant self-producing and self-recording their debut album A Fragile Hope, but the band also set up the Black Willow label imprint to self-release it. Hitting shops in late 2007, the album became a true underground classic and received almost unanimous praise from the press. It opened up many doors for the band and has led to the finding of a new home at Century Media Records.
The band have already toured across the UK and Europe as headliner a number of times, but have also supported and played shows with the likes of Genghis Tron, Gallows, Bring Me The Horizon, Red Sparrows, Skindred, Architects UK, Cult of Luna and many more. They have also played shows for Rock Sound and Kerrang! magazines, including headlining the Koko venue in London for Klub Kerrang in 2008, and played festivals like Download, T in the Park, Slam Dunk and this year headlined the Thrash Hits stage at Offset.
