Dream Theater enter studio, begin work on new album

New York progressive metal act Dream Theater have officially entered the studio to begin work on their first album without co-founder, and drummer, Mike Portnoy.

The band’s guitarist, John Petrucci writes on his twitter, “First day in studio [and] the dawn of a new era for Dream Theater. Can’t wait to get the music flowing.”

Dream Theater and Judas Priest will be performing at The High Voltage festival in London’s Victoria Park July 23rd and 24th.
