Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park, NY regularly throws diverse shows from Metric to Every Time I Die to Mindless Self Indulgence. It was a no brainer that The Eternal Enemies Tour stop at the mid sized venue was going to be really hyper and packed with kids. Not only is this where the beef with Emmure and The Acacia Strain kind of reached an apex at one point, but it also is where they best buried the hatchet. This show was actually really positive, even with everyone screaming angry shit all night, haha.
From Emmure pals Sylar (also from Queens) setting it off like a kind of metalcore Linkin Park to Kublai Khan from Texas completely killing it onstage with a strong message of unity to the wall of heavy that slams into the crowd whenever The Acacia Strain hits, it was a good night for Upstate, NY. I can’t believe Ryan from Fit For A King managed to sing his whole set in a long sleeve shirt and not faint. Vincent from The Acacia Strain even gave shout outs to Ted’s Fish Fry and Stewart’s Ice Cream (that’s a regional reference if you know the Troy/Albany area), which was pretty amusing.
Photogs Matt Slater and Richie Bilyou got shots of the action for y’all.
