Cult late 80′s/early 90′s thrash metal band Evildead are once again reuniting after a four-year hiatus and will be following up their surprise reunion — which took place last March at the Love/Hate Rock Bar in Los Angeles in celebration of drummer Rob Alaniz’s 50th birthday — with more shows.

Not many details about the reunion (including new material or a full-scale tour) have been given, but Evildead were recently asked on Facebook if there will be more shows after the birthday celebration gig, the band simply responded, “Yes. We are.” Their Facebook page also says the lineup will be the same as their last reunion, consisting of Steve Nelson (vocals), Juan Garcia (guitar), Albert Gonzales (guitar), Mel Sanchez (bass) and Rob Alaniz (drums).

Initially active from 1987 to 1995, Evildead reunited in 2008 for several shows before splitting up once again in 2012. Prior to the breakup, a new album was in the works and back in 2011, they released a new song called “Blasphemy Divine“.

Update: Evildead have confirmed that they are indeed active again and plan to do more shows in 2017. They also announced that they are going to record new material this year.
