Slipknot has announced today that former bassist Paul Gray’s grave site has been robbed. Items taken include a gargoyle and a Buddah that were placed there by family and friends of Gray. The remaining members of Slipknot have asked that the items be returned, with no questions asked.
Gray died earlier this year on May 24th of an accidental morphine overdose.
Slipknot, having sold more than 14 million records worldwide to date and currently on a hiatus, has not released word on a new bassist to replace Gray as of yet. Having just released their DVD (sic)nesses on September 28th, they still have not mentioned anything about recording a new album.
