Foundational thrash band Trauma prep new album

Thrash veterans Trauma , widely known as the pre-Metallica band of Cliff Burton, have new plans in the works.

Late 2020 will prove to be a busy time for the first wave thrashers, as they will release their fourth full-length release overall, as well as touring throughout Europe on a bill also featuring Ross the Boss and Burning Witches. I dig Burning Witches a lot but defriended Ross on Facebook awhile ago over wack Trumpy posts (before that I was a huge fan). Hopefully he has cooled his jets on that MAGA nonsense, cuz he is a big talent and I have met him in real life. He actually played an awesome show in a small bar on 9/11 years ago that I helped book, so I have complicated bummed out feelings about it.

Anyway, this is about Trauma. What a relatable name for a lot of us! Comprised of members Donny Hillier – lead vocals, Kris Gustofson – drums, Greg Christian – bass guitar, Joe Fraulob – guitars and Steve Robello – guitars, Trauma looks to build on the buzz created by their last album, 2018’s As the World Dies.

“Trauma is currently considering what the album should be called,” explains Kris. “Usually for us we have to think about a theme/scope of the recorded songs and what it represents for the time now. Hopefully we will have something soon that makes sense for the recorded collection of tracks, It seems that the new record title, may be a little similar in its title as to our last album, ‘As the World Dies’.”

Currently until Covid-19 has run course more I am not posting ANY tour dates on the site as I think it is too soon and irresponsible of media outlets. I am not mad at bands for planning ahead with hope in their hearts, but I am focusing more on release based content than tour promo for now. I don’t think anywhere should be rushing to re-open without significant phasing and contingencies as well, not gaslighting that we can’t have a social safety net and can just afforf to help corporate and fat cat bailouts the most in times of crisis. Just letting readers know why I haven’t been pushing any 2021 or whenever tours on here the last few weeks.

But yeah – sorry for mixed energy post. Just wanted to celebrate the band has a new album in the works and you can head over to Trauma’s Facebook for other info.
