Fear Factory Industrialist CoverIndustrial band Fear Factory are streaming their entire forthcoming album The Industrialist by way of Aol Music.  The Industrialist is due out June 5, 2012 on Candlelight Records and will be the band’s eighth studio album.

Click here to check out the album.

Vocalist Burton C. Bell has recently commented on the record’s concept:

“The protagonist (The Industrialist) is the incarnation of all industries in the form of an automaton. The mechanical, technological, and scientific advances through the industrial age led to the creation of The Industrialist. In the story, the automaton becomes sentient as it collects memories with each passing day. Through observation and learning, it gains the will to exist. What was meant to help man, will eventually be man’s demise.”

Scott,Your point about the woman being a help meet/co-dominionist *in the husband’s voictaon* is one that I haven’t considered before. I’ve been told that no matter what he does, a man’s wife can assist him by packing his lunches and doing his laundry (etc.) before sending him off to the office. But she does those things whether he works on the ranch or in a corporate tower. But having the man’s voictaon on the land where his family lives makes the most sense of her duty as help meet and co-dominionist. This is because the woman’s other primary roles as child nurturer and home manager are now geographically an ideologically cohesive with her help meet duties. Indeed, child nurturer and home manager duties *are* help meet duties, but when the man is away from the home 50 hours plus a week, her duties are fractured.Thanksf or the post!
