Helheim debut track from their forthcoming album

Viking black metallers Helheim debuted a track from their upcoming album “Heiðindómr ok mótgangr,” on the Friday, March 18 edition of Derek Rice’s “Raise the Dead” show on the US Community Radio station KDVS, Davis 90.3FM. The track, “Viten og Mot (Stolthet),” was released on the band’s MySpace page following the airing of the show and you can check it out right here.

V’gandr commented on the new track, explaining, “‘Viten og Mot (Stolthet)’ means “Knowledge and Courage (Pride).’ It is one of four lyrics on the album that are based on the words of Odin (Håvamål).”

“Heiðindómr ok mótgangr,” Helheim’s seventh full-length album is due for release in Norway on April 1 and the rest of the world on May 23 via Dark Essence Records. It will be the band’s first release to be sung entirely in Norwegian since 2000’s  “Blod Og Ild.”
