Jim Root of Slipknot talks Guitars with Roadrunner UK

Roadrunner UK recently sat down with Slipknot and Stone Sour guitarist Jim Root, and discussed his guitars. Everything from his first guitar to his latest six string, and everything in between.

So what is Jim using these days? “I’m using two orange Rockerverb 100’s, one head is powering 24 12 speaker cabinets and they other head is powering a 4 12 speaker that’s in an iso cab thats mic-ed off for front of house and then i have a GCX switching system thats like a midi switching system running a bunch of pedals and on the pedal board I’ve got like a Small Stone, a compressor, a couple of Carbon Copy Delays…”

    i’v been a roady for 5 years sense i was kicked out of the military for an article 15… drinking underage and tearing up my barracks, i dont have many skills besides hard fucking labor! thanks to this rescission you think you guys will welcome me aboard for a fuckin job? that goes for any god damn band… stage right stage left front of fuckin house? climbing the truss? running cables?fighting the feeder? whatever the fuck…. my broke ass is down like a clown charly brown! ooo-rah!
