Late to the party: Barghest release new old song…in October

Baton Rouge black metal tempest Barghest recently put up news about a cool two song split with Withering Light. That and a new Myrkyr song today have me feelin’ black not blue. The Barghest news is old-ish (I just found out about the split), but the Myrkyr demo of her new song ”Skaði” is only like three hours old, so my coolness creds are restored. Phew. Close one.

Anyway, all the bands mentioned in this article rule. This is the split announcement from Barghest’s Facebook (Oct. 20th, haha):

We’ve recorded a rough new vision of one of the first Barghest songs written back in 2006-7. This track is our contribution to a split with a new band from our area called Withering Light that deserve your attention and support. You can listen to and purchase the split here:

A 7″ will be released in the near future with art by Rotting Graphics. Lastly, we have two shows before the end of the year. Baton Rouge on December 11th with Cloud Rat and December 20th in Dallas, TX at Reno’s Chop Shop as part of Ides of Winter II.
