-(16)- are a band who, like Unsane or to a lesser degree the more popular Helmet, devotees rave about but who have a more aggro and streetwise approach that draws from enough noise rock influences to go over the heads of certain locked in death metal or thrash type metalheads. Honestly, if you can’t feel the power from any given -(16)- gut stomper, you’re probably a moron. Go back to trying to sniff your best cave troll friend’s hair/choking on dander while he gets whiplash next to you in your mom’s basement as you rock out together to Six Feet Under playing over a bootleg copy of the Warcraft movie. Totes cool.

Anyway, this is some of the band’s rowdiest material ever, shove people extremity for when you’ve given up on a wide swath of humanity or just need somewhere to bloodlet the darker emotions. I’m especially fond of the monstrous opening section of “Secrets Of The Curmudgeon”.

Stream the new banger HERE.
