Motörhead founder Lemmy recently told Classic Rock Revisited that they apparently have two new releases in store: a new full-length studio album and an album containing song covers. Asked about the latter, Lemmy replied:
“We did discuss it, but we haven’t come to a concrete decision on it. It would be fun to do. The three of us are very different when it comes to music, so it would be a very diverse album. We’d make them all into Motörhead songs, anyway. We’ve done covers before.”
He was also asked if the band already had any new music, and his response was, “Not yet. We will just go into the studio a month before we do the next album and just write.”
Motörhead’s last studio album, The Wörld Is Yours, was released in Europe in December 2010 and in the United States a month later.
