Los Angeles grindcore band Murder Construct have entered the studio to begin working on their as-yet-untitled debut full-length album. A mid 2012 release date is to be expected via Relapse Records. More information will be coming shortly and we’ll keep you posted.
The upcoming album is the follow-up to the band’s self-titled EP and is being recorded in California at Architeuthis Sound with engineer Sean Vahle. Drums are being tracked at Trench Studios in Corona, CA with John Haddad (Abysmal Dawn, Exhumed, Intronaut) while mastering will take place at Mammoth Sound with Dan Randall (Toxic Holocaust, Impaled, Magrudergrind).
Murder Construct’s Leon del Muerte commented on the upcoming album: “I’m not even sure we thought we’d ever finally get around to doing this shit. Over the last couple of years, we’ve managed to piece together 12 shivarees to the blast beat. We decided to invite some of our friends over to help with the shenanigans, too! Overall, should be a big, fat, noisy fucking mess that picks up where the EP left off.”
