Earlier this week, Mike Patton told Australia’s News.com.au that he and his bandmates in Faith No More have no plans to record any new material in the near future. He explains:
“We’re pretty happy with just touring. There was talk, ‘Should we write new stuff?’ and we all looked at each other and said ‘Nahhh, fuck it.’ We did work up one new little thing and that was really energizing.”
Faith No More reunited in February 2009 after an 11 year break, but haven’t recorded and released any new material so far. Last November, however, they performed a “mysterious song” in Argentina, but it’s not known if it was a new or previously unreleased. Their last full-length studio album, Album of the Year, came out back in 1997.
