Austin Carlisle, the lead singer of Southern Cali metalcore band Of Mice And Men, (and formerly of Attack Attack!) has released a statement to fans via Twitter for having to shorten a set the other night. As fans will know, Austin is deaf in one ear and for some reason something in the monitors ruptured his other ear (I think) so he was unable to finish his set. This sounds absolutely horrifying and we’re all hoping for the best and waiting for updates.

Of Mice And Men’s last release was 2011’s The Flood on Rise Records. They recently released a music video for the song “The Depths” which you can find by clicking right here.Twitter statements from Austin Carlisle:
“Atlanta I’m sorry for cutting so many songs & barely singing our set. As most of you know I’m deaf in my left ear & have always had problems with it. Something with the monitors tonight ruptured something in my ear & it hurt like a B**** being on stage with the sounds.”
“Thanks to all the vocalists of the tour for coming up and helping me finish the set though. Means so much! My brothers!!”
“If you’re reading this in the AM, I hope you make this week YOURS. Finish something these next 5 days you’ve been putting off. Productivity!”
“Almost to the audiologist here in Orlando. Fingers crossed everything is okay with this ear!!!”
