Pathology to release anticipated self titled album, share single

When considering a post mid point 00’s death metal band, Pathology are beyond a doubt one of the strongest and sickest death metal bands to carve out quite a formidable recorded legacy. The band has churned a remarkable nine albums out since 2006, including their well regarded trio of Victory blood chuggers (2011’s Awaken to the Suffering being a personal game changer). This band along with Rivers Of Nihil and certain elements of better Job For A Cowboy and Whitechapel made me feel like maybe some of the newer bands could actually cut it for the long haul in a post NWOAHM time when bands were all pretty short lived as record sales slumped and people adjusted to new models. So to see a few non metalcore bands go harder in the death influences and really keep cranking out material was dope.

Anyway, Pathology are bursting to arrive back with their new self titled record, by all accounts. Check out a full report and choke down a NEW slice of the gurgly vocal, slam worthy gorge metal you love HERE. I wonder what would happen if Takeru Kobayashi had just eaten a gazillion hot dogs and Abbath or Dagon croaked in one ear while the Pathology dude Matti Way satan burped in the other. Would Kobayashi’s iron stomach be psyched out into puking through the subliminal sweet nothings and  power of suggestion of so much croakage and gore? I know this is fucked up to say but I am kinda more stoked for this Pathology than the new Suffocation, no dis to those dudes. Just how it is.
