Castle are so used to melting faces they even melt their own sometimes

Hey everyone. Hope your Monday is going groovy. I’ve had a relatively rad day, though I am truly bummed over the news of one of my all time favorite bands Royal Trux pulling the plug on their upcoming tour. Glad they still made the White Stuff record, cuz that shit ruled and was an unexpected blessing, even if they don’t play anymore or whatever is going on. Things happen. It’s all love, though. Big influences on me, for sure.

Anyway, I did get to see  my favorite underground metal band Castle finally play a full set a week or so back. Castle pound for pound deliver the leanest and meanest best sick riff value paired with killer vocals, power trio might and road dog radness you can get for your money’s worth release after release. The coolest. They tour all the time but I never got a chance for various workaholic reasons to see them in full. I opened for them the last time they came to my city with my Walking Bombs project but they had PA problem in the venue so it took the band years to want to come back. I am happy as a sun loving salamander (wait, they love sun – right?) they did, though. The band absolutely cooked the eyeballs off the place in support of their recent Deal Thy Fate monsterpiece and local support Witch Kiss and Shadow Witch (with Doug Beans of Murphy’s Law fame killing it on the kit for Shadow Witch) slew as well.

It was a great night with awesome people who live and breathe the rock n roll experience. Made me damn glad to know all of them and I headbanged my little brain right out my ear holes. Not bad for a middle of the week mind bruiser! Cheers to everyone! Good times.
