Utah art doom collective SubRosa have announced new management and pending album For This We Fought The Battle Of Ages via Profound Lore. SubRosa have joined the management roster of All Independent Services Alliance (AISA). AISA also manages/supports Enslaved, Wardruna, Blind Idiot God, Wolvserpent and many other great bands and independent record labels.

“For 10 years, I’ve been managing SubRosa myself, which I love, but can take up to 20 hours a week in addition to my full-time job. I chose AISA to partner to alleviate the burden because of their experience, knowledge, drive, strong work ethic and integrity. They are in this because they love music and they love what they do, first and foremost, just like the five members of SubRosa. I saw a reflection of our values in them.” – Rebecca Vernon / SubRosa

Additionally the band have completed work on their new album. Read about that and tour dates in an official press release BELOW.

SubRosa have completed work on their new full-length album “For This We Fought The Battle Of Ages” which will see its release on CD/2xLP/Digital on Aug 26th (pre-orders for all formats will commence sometime early July).

One of the most anticipated albums to be released within the doom metal genre this year, “For This We Fought The Battle Of Ages” sees SUBROSA deliver some of their most ambitious and dynamic compositions yet while at the same time delivering their heaviest and darkest album to date respectively. With their most important and crucial album amongst their repertoire, “For This We Fought The Battle Of Ages” sees SUBROSA continue the momentum from 2013’s “More Constant Than The Gods”, and will help bring a new awareness to SUBROSA as one of the most prominent progressive/doom metal bands from America today. The band’s crushing monolithic sound canvas continues to amalgam a devastating mix of soul-crushing doom, innovative chamber music (solidified by the band’s two electric violin players) and murder balladry all filtered through the veil of American gothic tragedy.

Recorded and mixed by SUBROSA drummer Andy Patterson and mastered by Audiosiege, along with featuring artwork and design by Glyn Smyth, track listing for “For This We Fought The Battle Of Ages” goes as follows:

1. Despair Is A Siren
2. Wound Of The Warden
3. Black Majesty
4. Il Cappio
5. Killing Rapture
6. Troubled Cells

Look for SUBROSA to tour extensively in support of their new LP with the band hitting Europe in Sept-Oct surrounding Asymmetry Festival and doing a U.S. run sometime in the fall. We’ll keep you posted as more details for this get confirmed.
