The Black Dahlia Murder has been confirmed for the Orion Music and More Festival in June. The Orion Festival is Metallica’s spin on music festivals and will be the first of it’s kind. The festival is scheduled for June 23rd and June 24th at Baddon Field in Atlantic City, NJ. The Black Dahlia Murder is scheduled to play the festival on Sunday.
The band will be playing on the “Damage Inc.” Stage which is will be home to some of the heavier bands on the bill, including Suicidal Tendencies, Torche, Thy Will Be Done, and more.
Vocalist Trevor Strnad had these comments:
“We are truly honored to be considered for the lineup of the first ever Orion festival. Metallica is one of the bands biggest influences…to say we are excited would be a major understatement. We will do our best to crush Atlantic City in their honor… Hails!”
Metallica will be headlining both nights of the festival and will be playing Ride the Lightning in it’s entirety on Saturday night and The Black Album in it’s entirety on Sunday night in honor of it’s 20th anniversary.
