The most esoteric and challenging band in the mainstream’s awareness is Tool and fans have been waiting almost a decade for a follow up to 10,000 Days. Almost as startling as the fact it has been that long already is the news that Tool are finally bearing down on it with increasing speed. I’d hear rumors hear and there but Consequence of Sound is reporting the band has won their drawn out lawsuit with some insurance dbags and are finally able to really buckle down on the next future classic without career draining delays. Get the scoop HERE.

Adam Jones says:
The turning point came when there was a change of venue on the opening day of the trial. “We moved over to a North LA courthouse and we had a brand-new judge, who was fantastic. You know what his name was? Randy Rhodes!” Randy Rhoads (no relation) was a guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot. “I knew the power of metal, and my appreciation of metal was someday going to be like a guardian angel.”

How awesome is that!!?
