San Francisco-based atmospheric death metal collective, FALLUJAH, are very pleased to take part in The Best In Brutality Tour 2014 this Spring with co-headliners Oceano and Broken Hope. Set to join the tour on March 20th in Los Angeles, California, the near month-long run of live assaults will storm its way across North America, drawing to a close on April 19th in Columbus, Ohio. Additional support will be provided by Rivers Of Nihil and Kublai Khan.

Check out the band’s three-song digital-only EP, Nomadic, released last Spring via Unique Leader at THIS LOCATION.

Comments vocalist Alex Hofmann: “We are always excited to be part of tours such as this that feature such a wide array of palettes and styles. We’re really excited to meet the guys in Rivers Of Nihil, whom we’ve been following for some time now, as well as regroup with Broken Hope whom we met over the Summer in Europe. This tour is the beginning of what is sure to be a busy and exciting year for us as we are to embark just after finishing our new full-length album in the studio. We hope to see all our old friends on the West Coast, our new friends in Canada, and visit some fresh territory in the Northeast and Midwest. See you there.”

Added just over a year ago, death metal newcomers Rivers of Nihil have been slaying crowds in support of their Metal Blade debut, The Conscious Seed of Life. While close to the end of the tour with Dying Fetus, Exhumed, and Abiotic, these guys still came out and put on a killer support set. I caught up with guitarists Jon Kunz and Brody Uttley afterward for their thoughts on the next tour, how they ended up on Metal Blade, and learned exactly how they feel on the “extortion” in crowd-sourced funding. I definitely got an earful on that one.

Posted by longhairedpoet on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 1:48 PM (PST)

Rivers of Nihil Pennsylvania death metallers Rivers of Nihil are streaming their song “Soil & Seed” over at Stereokiller.

“Soil & Seed” comes off of Rivers of Nihil’s forthcoming album The Conscious Seed of Light, which will be released on October 15 via Metal Blade Records.

Bassist Adam Biggs had this to say about the track:

“Soil & Seed was one of the first songs we wrote for the record and it’s been a staple of our live set ever since. We wrote this one for two reasons; to outline the interconnectedness of the earth and all living creatures, and to get people to headbang and stomp around like fucking maniacs. Enjoy!”
