Arch Enemy confirmed for Japan’s Loud Park 2011 Festival

Swedish melodic death metallers Arch Enemy have been confirmed for this year’s installment of the Loud Park festival, set to take place October 15th at Saitama Super Arena, a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Chūō-ku, Saitama City, Saitama, Japan.

Guitarist Michael Amott comments:

”This is great news! We are looking forward to playing Loud Park once again! it’s one of the best festivals in the world as far as we’re concerned. We love Japan, and we love Loud Park!”

Skeletonwitch announce “Forever Abomination” and new tour

skeletonwitch new band photoSkeletonwitch has been hard at work following-up 2009’s Breathing the Fire and this fall, Prosthetic Records will release the fruit of that labor in Forever Abomination.

The band will play two Midwestern shows — their first with new drummer Dustin Boltjes — before heading to Europe for a run of dates which include performances at several of the continent’s biggest metal festivals.They will then be participating in a fall North American tour along with Arch Enemy and DevilDriver

Swedish melodic death metallers Arch Enemy have launched a brand new official website to celebrate the band’s latest studio album, “Khaos Legions.” The new ArchEnemy.net contains everything you need to know about the band and more.

Arch Enemy released their new album, “Khaos Legions” on May 30th in Europe and June 7th in North America via Century Media Records.

Melodic death metal Swedes Arch Enemy appease the eager masses with another song from their oh-so-close-to-being-released album “Khaos Legions,” which hits stores on May 30th from Century Media.

Death metal Swedes Arch Enemy are about to drop their ninth studio album on Century Media entitled “Khaos Legions.” The record will go on sale June 7th, but you can get a glimpse of what is to come right here.

Also, they have released a video for “Yesterday is Dead and Gone.”

Swedish melodic death metallers Arch Enemy have posted a 3-minute long documentary from their “Khaos Legions” launch showcase. Normally reserved for press & media-types, the band reached out to their fans via Facebook to attend this small, but intimate performance. You can check it out here.

“Khaos Legions” is due out in May on Century Media. The band has been added to the Sonisphere Festival lineup, as well has having been added as headliners to the 2011 edition of the Metalmorphosis Festival in Limassol, Cyprus.

Swedish melodic death metallers Arch Enemy are set to headline 2011’s Metalmorphosis Festival in Limassol, Cyprus. The festival, supported by Pitch Black Records, will take place on July 30th and also features support from Spiritual Beggars, Disharmony, The Fallen Within, Frozen Winds, and Under the Number. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, March 15th through the Pitch Black site.

Arch Enemy added to Sonisphere Festival

Swedish death metallers Arch Enemy have been added to the Sonisphere Festival lineup, taking place July 8th – 10th in Knebworth, U.K.

The festival is taking place at the prestigious Knebworth House and will be headlined by the Big Four (Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, & Anthrax) and will also feature Slipknot, Motörhead, Mastodon, and Parkway Drive.

Sonisphere is an annual music festival that has wandered through Europe each June through August since 2009.

Video: Arch Enemy Studio Update II

Swedish death metallers Arch Enemy bestow unto us the second glimpse into their recording process. This update focuses on a bit of guitar, but primarily bassist Sharlee D’Angelo thumping away on his Iceman. The end of the video promises lead guitars and vocals in the next update, so stay tuned!

Arch Enemy announce “Khaos Legions,” European tour dates

Melodic death metal Swedes Arch Enemy‘s ninth studio album, “Khaos Legions” is currently in the works.Currently, they are deep in the Sweet Spot Studio facilities with Rickard Bengtsson, who produced 2005’s “Doomsday Machine” and will be responsible for the mixing and engineering of “Khaos Legions.” The album is slated for a release in May via Century Media.  Post-release, they will set out on a 14 date tour, hitting several festivals along the way.
