Florida thrashers Warbringer have released the cover artwork and track-listing for their upcoming album “Worlds Torn Apart.” You can click here to see the track-listing and a bigger picture of the cover artwork.

In regards to their upcoming release, vocalist John Kevill had this to say about the artwork:

“The concept behind ‘Worlds Torn Asunder’ was the decline of our existing world at the hands of the human race. The artwork depicts the world literally being torn and we wanted to include the setting in the cosmos along with a darker ‘higher’ force lurking behind the shadows. We had worked with Dan Seagrave before on ‘Waking Into Nightmares’ and were very comfortable with the way he expressed himself. He’s been the artist for many bands we love and are inspired by.”

The new album is set to be released on September 27th via Century Media.

Working on new material since last November, Warbringer entered the studio on April 18th, to begin recording their first album since 2009′s “Waking Into Nightmares.” Check out Warblog #2 here.

With producer Steve Evetts (Sepultura, Hatebreed), the band says their goal with this record is “to make something beyond a run-of-the-mill metal CD,” according to guitarist John Laux, “the most difficult challenge is always finding just the right balance between a raw, aggressive sound and modern production standards.”  Laux says of Evetts, “he aims for very organic and bold sounds. His experience in bringing the best out from a wide variety from musicians across different genres of music can be seen in his credits and this speaks for itself.”

The yet untitled new album sees the band welcome drummer Carlos Cruz, who’s had a lot of input into the new material. What about Warblog #1 you ask. Well head on over here.

Warbringer tap Carlos Cruz (Hexen) as their new drummer

Posted by Tommy on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 10:35 AM (PST)

So-Cal thrash metal act Warbringer have tapped former Hexen drummer Carlos Cruz to be their new drummer. Cruz comments on joining the band,

“After years of putting forth nothing but blood, sweat, and tears into my tireless ambitions for playing music, I have finally found an outlet where no more time is wasted. It was flattering to have been approached by Warbringer the first time they made a personnel change in 2008, but this time around it couldn’t have felt more like perfect timing. They’re a collective group of humble, open-minded, down-to-earth guys who share the same fanaticism for music as I do and are the tightest musicians I have ever played with. I’ve never felt so welcomed and inspired to move forward. Even past members of the band have congratulated me and it feels very much like family, not just another band. From some recent serious downfalls in my personal life came this beautiful opportunity and I couldn’t be happier. We’ll be seeing all YOU Warbringers out on the road soon!”

Cruz will be making his debut in Mexico City March 5th at the Eyescream Festival. The band will then enter the studio in April and will be playing more live shows in May and June. Warbringer’s latest album “Waking Into Nightmares” was released in 2009 via Century Media.
