These are just the first two concert dates announced, and they have guaranteed more announcements are on the way. The reunion tour came up after the release of the “The Flames of The End” 3 DVD boxset was released earlier this year on Earache Records. They have not released an album since 1995’s “Slaughter of the Soul” which was also released on Earache Records.

The band issued this statement:

At the Gates split up in 1996 with Adrian Erlandsson, Jonas Bjorler, and Anders Bjorler going on to form The Haunted.  In 2007 the band announced a string of reunion shows for 2008 including Wacken Open Air Festival, Hellfest, and others.

The band’s last studio album was “Slaughter of the Soul” released in November 1995 through Earache Records.
