Threat Signal’s line up changes after European Tour

Posted by BlairWaterous on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 12:09 PM (PST)

Threat Signal has recently changed their line up after former members, Norman Killeen and Adam Weber, agreed to part ways.

“A BIG thank you to Norm and Adam for their hard work in Threat Signal over the years. It was a mutual decision between us all to part ways, and there are no hard feeling what so ever. We are still great friends. We shared some amazing times together and we will never forget that. We love you guys and wish you all the best.”

The former members have been replaced by new talents Alex Rudinger and Chris Feener, on drums and guitar, respectively.

“I caught wind of Alex’s drumming through youtube.com. He has a large number of drumming videos including covers, and originals. My jaw dropped when I first saw this kid play!” Threat Signal said about Alex. Alex is from Frederick MD, USA.

Chris Feener from Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland, Canada, is taking up the guitars. “Chris also has a ton of self recorded videos on youtube.com. I haven’t seen a guy shred like this in a long time!”

Interview: Threat Signal – Another Source Of Heavy

Posted by Morgan Y Evans - Walking Bombs on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 6:56 PM (PST)

Threat Signal’s VIGILANCE was a big step forward for the Ontario groove metal machine. VIGILANCE as an album fully built outward on the promise of their Christian Olde Wolber’s produced debut UNDER REPRISAL, cementing this band’s dedicated fan base even further with true believer material like the speeding bullet hate fest of “Beyond Recognition” or the epic “Another Source Of Light”. I have a lot of respect for Threat Signal/Arkaea vocalist Jon Howard for being himself and doing things his way, whether by using his singing voice despite criticism from some “screamier than thou” types or through his commitment to evolving his band(s) via enthusiasm, a strong will and drive. Threat Signal and Arkaea are both in between records at the moment, but I talked to Jon Howard about the personal triumph of VIGILANCE, what is coming up for both his bands, the recent Threat Signal touring with the iconic Dark Tranquility and the ever pesky theme of musical aesthetics.

Tour Update: Threat Signal

Posted by Geoffy-Dee on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 1:54 PM (PST)

Canadian modern metallers Threat signal are on the way to hit Europe in about two weeks. Vocalist Jon Howard commented: “Finally!!! We are flying our Canadian asses over to Europe. We’ve been looking forward to this moment since we started the band in 2005. We’ve finally made it happen and we couldn’t be more excited! Since we didn’t get a chance to tour our first record ‘Under Reprisal’ in Europe, we’ve decided we are going to include a lot of those songs in our set list. We will also be playing a few songs from our latest album ‘Vigilance’. Raunchy and Sybreed have agreed to join us on the tour, which I’m very happy about. It’s great to play with such influential musicians and actually really enjoy watching the bands play every night. I’ve been a fan of these bands for years. So if you think your European asses can out drink a Canadian, come down to the show and let’s see what you got! We’ll be hanging out in the crowd and it will be a party every single night. Looking forward to meeting all of you! Cheers”

The bands latest album “Vigilance” was released in 2009 on Nuclear Blast
