Atheist Announce European Tour

Posted by BlairWaterous on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 12:59 PM (PST)

Atheist and Exhumed European Tour 2011Extreme technical metal pioneers Atheist have announced plans to tour Europe in April 2011 with Exhumed. The tour is in support of the band’s fourth album “Jupiter” which was released on November 8, 2010 through Season Of Mist. This album will be the first since the band reunited in 2008.

Frontman Kelly Shaefer comments: “Greetings everyone, thank you all for the overwhelming support of our new album ‘Jupiter’, we are humbled by all of the nice things being said about the new stuff and cannot wait to bring it to the stage. So now it’s time to come pull some faces off in Europe on our first headlining run in support of the new album! And we are stoked to share the tour with the boys from Exhumed. We are able to play a few places we have never been before so we are all very excited about that, as well as the fact that we of course have some fun new shit to play live – the songs from ‘Jupiter’ along with songs from all three prior albums. See you all on tour in 2011!”

The band’s last studio album “Elements” was released 17 years ago on August 30, 1993 on Metal Blade Records. The band reunited to record “Elements” after disbanding 1992. Atheist disbanded again after the release of “Elements”.

Exhumed enter the studio and unveil forthcoming album title

Posted by Lucas Riot on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 2:44 PM (PST)

ExhumedGore-metal originators Exhumed are currently in the studio recording their first full-length album since 2003’s “Anatomy Is Destiny.” Exhumed guitarist/vocalist/founder Matt Harvey, bassist Leon DelMuerte and guitarist Wes Caley are currently at Arcane Digital Recording in Arizona working with engineer Ryan Butler to record vocals, bass and guitar tracks.  Drummer Danny Walker previously laid down his drum tracks at Trench Studios with John Haddad. Mixing and mastering will be handled by Brian Elliott at Mana Recording Studios.

Matt Harvey recently checked in from the studio with the following update; “So far we’re really psyched on what’s been oozing out of the speakers!  The guitars are sounding really aggressive right out of the box.  I can’t wait to get into the vocals and flesh out the songs.  We have 18 songs to work through while we’re here and then we’ll sort through and cherry-pick the heaviest, ugliest tracks for the new record, which is gonna be titled “All Guts, No Glory”.  I think it builds on all the best shit from our first three records and should disgust and revolt any poseurs out there!”

All Guts, No Glory is expected to see a spring 2011 release date through Relapse Records.
