Agoraphobic Nosebleed return with “Arc” EP in 2016

I remember discovering Agoraphobic Nosebleed‘s Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope with my drummer friend Zac Shaw with a sense of stoned glee and an atom level knowledge that somehow life would never be the same. It was one of my earliest introductions to that level of musical insanity. I grew up on Big Black and Jesus Lizard records but Agoraphobic was another level of “that is intense” all together. For people who love to find bands that make other people say “What the fuck are you listening too?” and run in horror, this is a great place to start.

Since the band got Katherine Katz (ex-Salome), they have gotten somehow even more rad. The Richard Johnson and Scott Hull tag team of madness finds a perfect foil in Katherine’s insane screams. New record ARC thankfully drops almost a year to the day that my father died and I am thanking the grind gods for giving me something really distracting I am bound to enjoy musically during what is surely going to be a week of seriously bad mood swings for me.

It looks like this 3 song EP will focus on the slower side of the band, as it is not that many tracks but clocks in at about twenty plus minutes. Color me stoked as fuck, since sister band Pig Destroyer’s recent Mass & Volume EP was a beast.

Pre Order this fucker HERE right now!

JuciferLogoByLordOfTheLogos

Jucifer have the most romantic story in metal, a duo who spend every day together as a couple working to prove you can do whatever you want in this life if you have drive. The band are constantly on the road all over the world, setting up massive stacks and blasting crowds with the heaviest of metal. A new full length biopic is coming out next year but you can preview a solid chunk of it now.

Cattle Decap Flexi Series Entry “Cannibalistic Invasivorism.”

Posted by Metal Riot on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 3:37 PM (PST)

San Diego deathgrinders, CATTLE DECAPITATION, will make their Decibel Flexi Series debut in the August 2015 issue with previously unreleased track, “Cannibalistic Invasivorism.” The ravaging new hymn – which will not appear on the band’s forthcoming new full-length, The Anthropocene Extinction – is currently available for public ingestion courtesy of MetalSucks.

Expounds frontman Travis Ryan of the tune, “One thing we learned from our last couple albums was that an album’s flow can make or break an album and it’s an often overlooked part of the album-making process. We ended up with a couple songs that got squeezed out of the album’s flow that were naturally then deemed ‘bonus tracks,’ and the track ‘Cannibalistic Invasivorism’ was one of them. It’s a song about doing away with pestiferous, invasive species of life through eating them, similar to the invasivorism movement by culinary artistes who use things like snails, squirrels, etc., or any animal/insect that need their numbers thinned down in any given area or ecosystem to have a positive impact on the region. Of course, in the ‘turning the tables’ nature of CATTLE DECAPITATION, in this song we find the target being the single most invasive species on planet earth: the human being. Enjoy!”

Sample “Cannibalistic Invasivorism,” now streaming at MetalSucks at THIS LOCATION.

A limited number of issues which include the flexi are currently available for purchase HERE but hurry!

Napalm Death announce US festival and European tour dates

Posted by longhairedpoet on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 4:39 PM (PST)

Maryland DeathFest 2015

British grindcore godfathers Napalm Death are preparing to be on the road this summer.

Napalm Death are touring to promote their 15 album Apex Predator – Easy Meat.

Bassist Shane Embury had this to say about the upcoming tour:

We had an awesome time down in Australia & New Zealand with our old friends Carcass! A lot of history between us as everyone probably knows and the crowds were very appreciative with most of the shows sold out. And what a great line up, also with Extortion opening…a truly awesome band from Australia. All in all a killer tour and I almost got Bill Steer up onstage for a few of the old songs, but we never quite managed it with all of the crazy traveling and early flights. But one day soon though, I tell you…Cheers!

Check out the Napalm Death tour dates here.

Make sure to check back for details on an upcoming Napalm Death 7″ split EP.

Remembering Dick Cheney (via Jello Biafra’s “Die For Oil, Sucker”)

Posted by Morgan Ywain Evans on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 11:16 AM (PST)

8617066

No, the draconian barf bag didn’t die. Evil lives forever!  I’d just like to take up a second of your precious time searching the web for cat videos to remind everyone to REMEMBER what a true anti-patriot Dick Cheney REALLY was, is and remains. Misleading the troops to war at the expense of tons of American AND Iraqi lives, turning 9/11’s real mourning to his political advantage, revolving door crony-ism with Halliburton (who very much influenced those who voted for the war)…the list goes on and on. Come out of the woodwork and complain about Obama and the drones all you want. It still doesn’t mean Cheney was right. The “Gut Check” Rejecting Cheneyism piece that is blowing up (no pun intended) in the wake of the CIA torture report inspired me today.

Metal and punk at their best used to be about rebellion and a free way of life, not just ear gauges and chain wallets or beer cans and gore art. Am I not allowed to speak out since I write for a metal site? Kiss my ass. The metal, hardcore and punk community is the best! Look, in the past I have complained about Michale Graves or Bobby Steele being conservative in punk, for example. Well, I’m still a fan of those guys and think they have every right to speak. I am an independent and am against the exploitation of the American people, or humans in general (even the ones I disagree with politically)!

Jello Biafra (of the true version of Dead Kennedys/LARD/The Guantanamo School Of Medicine and Marvel team ups with Sepultura and The Melvins…among others), is one of the most “extreme” performers ever, yet really he should be considered normal, in a sane world. His spoken word album In The Grip Of Official Treason nails Cheney to the wall harder than just about anything, if you never heard it. Even Fox News team members know Cheney is a putz-wad and a creepy liar (as is his delusional lesbian daughter for being LGBTQ and GOP at the same time, how is that possible?).

From attacking Wall Street corruption that crashed our economy to speaking out against Corporate Welfare’s ironic attack on the average working person to so many good songs and an open mind releasing great albums on Alternative Tentacles, Jello gets a Metal Riot stamp of approval and shout out today.

Click HERE for more and support the troops by being pro peace. Sure, ISIS is bullshit and issues like that matter.  SO does the wake of bodies that got things so bad in the first place through history’s cruel saga of human greed, twisted religious control not about love at all and forms of other mental illness from the Inquisition to Vietnam to the “Axis of Eden” (to reference Today Is The Day).

America could be beautiful. But it isn’t, or is it? #unity #taxtherich #pma #regulatewallstreet #supporthetroopsthroughpeace #pro peace #fuckcheneyism #habeascorpus #holidayincambodia #thiscouldbeanywhere #permanentmartiallaw #wecantbreathe #wewanttheairwavesbaby #etc.

Napalm Death stream the unhinged as ever “Cesspits”

Posted by Morgan Ywain Evans on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 1:42 PM (PST)

napalm-death

Damn, Barney Greenway”s vocals sound like Melvins/Grindcore on this song, just insane grind screams we know and love him for plus some stylized kind of bellowing. It’s pure Napalm Death insanity as only they can bring, streaming now at Decibel HERE.

“Sometimes you have to ponder long and hard for an album title, but following the Rana Plaza disaster of last year (collapse of a textile sweatshop building in Bangladesh), it spurred me on to try and craft an exposé of slave labor in the modern world (and the surrounding conditions propping it up),” said Greenway.

Utilitarian, though a recent release, was one of the strongest of Napalm’s career, and if “Cesspits” is any indication they are still on a roll for the forthcoming Apex Predator – Easy Meat next year.
