Rockabilly hero Danny B. Harvey paired with ex-Cycle Slut From Hell/She Wolves/Star & Dagger legit metal lifer Dava She Wolf? Sign us up! If you crave a sleazy, whiskey soaked grit to your rock n' roll (with more than a hint of bar brawl or floor crawl inducing Link Wray and Motörhead inspired antics), proceed directly to your pre-scheduled bangover courtesy of the new Fine Spirits EP. Harvey has worked with rock and metal people before ranging from Lemmy to David Vincent, but this new EP of slinky, kinky and far from watered down boozy crawlers is infectious and downright reckless. Each song on the EP will crawl into your ear and possess you to slink and shake while being as heavy as C.O.C. but as wild as the West. The replay factor on this is huge. Let's hope Harvey & Wolf keep this going awhile, cuz it sounds fun for them but is really fun for us! Check out our favorite track "The Prowl"! It packs a slow motion groovy wallop.

The dudes in deathcore/face slammers Acrania dropped us a line to let us know they had a new live video and we are more than happy to show it. This song, you’ll most likely agree, is pretty beastly. Even if you don’t like some of the bree styles, the tones of the stringed instruments and the snappy drum attack plus deadly grooves will eat your mutated brain. Check it out BELOW.Add to My Radar
Sick tour alert for you rabble rousers and couch slouches (to reference D.R.I.). Inanimate Existence from Santa Cruz are hitting the road with a band known for hitting the bong, the green thumbed semi-peaceful warriors of Cannabis Corpse. Major ear violators Mammoth Grinder, one of the more intense acts today, are also on the package. This is a powerful bill of rising bands with a respected sound and work ethic, so don’t miss out. Some great venues like Echoplex, Siberia and Saint Vitus bar on the routing as well. My comrades at New Noise Magazine are one of the sponsors and only put their name on killer tours.

Consisting of Eric Matranga (Ex-Excretion, Grotesque), Scott Fuller (Abysmal Dawn) and Eric Cohen (Ex-Arkaik) Annihilated bring their own style of brutality to the extreme metal scene.

Alterbeast offer a blood stained altar of death metal beauty with Immortal. This very pro sounding album combines exciting trends of modern death and death or yesteryear for a death defying deadly experience. From opener “Flesh Bound Text” assaulting your ears through to closer (and extremely metal-titled) “Throne of Maggots”, this is your best stop right now for bludgeoning death with technical solos but not so much tech that you forget you are listening to death metal. These guys never tire of hammering out punishment of beastly magnitude. Check the 1:15 mark of “Throne Of Maggots” for an example of how precisely beastly things get!
The vocals have a great growl that doesn’t slip down into Pathology territory where it just sounds like belching and puking, rather staying just this side of digestible but very angry, akin to Corpsegrinder. Guitars, bass and drums work together to tighten the noose, especialy powerfully on the relentless “Vile Remnants” and the following track “Ancient’s Retribution”. The latter has the most technical passages on the album, at times sounding like a welcome cross between Cephalic Carnage and Cannibal Corpse in the nastiest way.”Mutilalted Marvel” is probably not about Deadpool’s shitty fan unfriendly appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but it still summons plenty of hostility from the speakers. I can imagine the 1:13 mark of this song crushing live as the band (a bit too) briefly slow to a crawling, classic 90’s oozing tempo. Love to see them tour with the killer Rose Funeral.
“Serpentspire” is 2:46 of evil, an atmospheric low chanted opening that is invaded by a liquid red bit of a bass run before Alterbeast bring back the full band brain glom for another number. The record is worth it alone for the great tones and slick lead runs frosting the death metal cupcake here. And the 2:00 riff of “Serpentspire” is a monster groove that sets up the best solo on the album. Just great death metal that deserves your attention and support.
San Francisco-based atmospheric death metal collective, FALLUJAH, are very pleased to take part in The Best In Brutality Tour 2014 this Spring with co-headliners Oceano and Broken Hope. Set to join the tour on March 20th in Los Angeles, California, the near month-long run of live assaults will storm its way across North America, drawing to a close on April 19th in Columbus, Ohio. Additional support will be provided by Rivers Of Nihil and Kublai Khan.
Check out the band’s three-song digital-only EP, Nomadic, released last Spring via Unique Leader at THIS LOCATION.
Comments vocalist Alex Hofmann: “We are always excited to be part of tours such as this that feature such a wide array of palettes and styles. We’re really excited to meet the guys in Rivers Of Nihil, whom we’ve been following for some time now, as well as regroup with Broken Hope whom we met over the Summer in Europe. This tour is the beginning of what is sure to be a busy and exciting year for us as we are to embark just after finishing our new full-length album in the studio. We hope to see all our old friends on the West Coast, our new friends in Canada, and visit some fresh territory in the Northeast and Midwest. See you there.”

“Infliction” is off of Pyrexia’s latest album Feast of Iniquity, which was released last week via Unique Leader Records.
Guitarist Chris Basile had this to say about the video:
“We wanted to do something completely different than what everyone else is putting out. Kind of like our music. Something that the viewer/listener can watch and as soon as it’s over be like, ‘Holy shit! What the Hell did I just watch?,” and want to watch it again and again to see what they missed.”
