Posted by flyngmonbob on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 3:53 PM (PST)

Bassist for Black Tide, Zakk Sandler spoke out today after a car accident that happened on November 27th, 2010. Zakk had this to say about the injuries he received:

Thank you all for your positive thoughts and wishes. I have a broken nose, hurt my neck, bit a hole through my lip, and I’m just achy and banged up all over but I will be fine and back to normal in a few weeks. It’s things like this that just wake me up and show me how great it is to be alive and how fortunate I am to have been able to walk away from this with such minimal damage to my body. I’ve heard plenty of stories and seen plenty of pictures of auto accidents that are absolutely horrific. Looking at the damage done to the car makes me truly grateful for the life that I will continue to live. Love you all !!

-Zakk

Escape the Fate bassist Max Green Escape The Fate will not be joining Bullet For My Valentine on their European tour that kicks off this weekend in Helsinki, Finland. Instead the band will remain in the states to support their band mate, bassist Max Green, as he enters an undisclosed rehab for drug and alcohol addiction.

“Max needs his friends and family by his side, so we’re not gonna leave him,” says lead singer Craig Mabbitt. “Max is one of my best friends and has never done this band wrong in any way shape or form. It’s very honorable of him to admit he has a problem and wants to seek help for the longevity of his life and this band. I’m so sorry to the fans, but so proud of Max. He needs our love and support through this rough time in his life, so let’s give it to him. Our soldiers never let us down and we will be back to play Europe and the two London dates very soon. We love you guys.”

Escape The Fate will headline a string of European dates in early 2011. Tickets for the two London headline shows that were scheduled for December 6th and 7th at the Islington Academy will be honored when these shows are rescheduled early next year.

Marilyn Manson signs with Cooking Vinyl Records

Posted by flyngmonbob on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 6:13 PM (PST)

According to Blabbermouth.net, Industrial metal powerhouse Marilyn Manson has signed with Cooking Vinyl Records for the release of his upcoming 8th studio album. Manson parted ways with Interscope records, and now has a better chance to be more creative seeing as how the album will be released  not only by Cooking Vinyl records, but also Manson’s own Hell, etc. record label. This gives him the freedom to not have to work under another label, but instead work with his own guidelines. The album is almost done recording according to bassist Twiggy Ramirez.

Said Manson about the signing, “We will always be our worst audience, until we stop being an audience and start being an artist. Any art is flesh and blood, no matter how you perform, decorate or display it. But we all want the passionate horror of that blood. And blood is what I am here to bring.”

Manson’s most recent album, “Eat me, Drink me,” was released with Interscope Records on June 5th, 2007.
