Decoder changes name to Lead Hands after lawsuit

Posted by tyrusrunyan on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 9:24 AM (PST)

A few weeks ago Florida based metalcore band Decoder kicked out their frontman Spencer Pearson for supposed drug and alcohol abuse and shortly following that their bassist Bryce Sipes left. Pearsons was obviously not pleased with the light the band painted him in and Sipes seems to have not been pleased with the entire music industry. In any case a lawsuit was filed and Decoder is now known as Lead Hands.

Here is the official statement:

“As of today our band is now under the name Lead Hands. Due to member changes and a lawsuit over our name we were forced to change it. Aside the name change we would like to introduce your to our new guitarist Vinny Capitani and our good friend Liam Thomas on bass and will be taking over the position of clean vocals. In the next few days we will be posting an introduction video and go a little more in depth with what has been happening. Thank you all for your continued support and we love you all more then you know.”

Album Review: Attack Attack! – “This Means War”

Posted by NichTheHair on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 2:21 PM (PST)

Ohio’s industrial metalcore quartet Attack Attack! released their third offering, This Means War, on Rise Records yesterday. As of now, they are #2 on the album charts of iTunes. Not a bad start to 2012 for the boys from Columbus. The album isn’t terrible, but it’s no Someday Came Suddenly. Where Someday brought us something fresh and unfamiliar, This Means War gives us a stale offering, possibly leftovers from last years Attack Attack! re-issue, which then, was still jumbled full of junk.
