New Video: Every Time I Die’s “Revival Mode”

Posted by Fireball13 on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 10:56 AM (PST)

New York hardcore rockers Every Time I Die have posted the video to their song “Revival Mode.” The track is from the band’s upcoming album Ex Lives which is set to be released March 6th via Epitaph Records.

Vocalist Keith Buckley has this to say about their new video:

“We worked with director Robert Schober who has done incredible work for Mastodon, Deftones, Metallica and now, us. The clip has a very ambiguously creepy David Lynch vibe to it and might be the first time we’ve never included a single one of our instruments in lieu of a story line that exists outside of us as members of a band. It’s dark and weird and while not completely adhering thematically to the lyrics, it sets a larger, broader mood which marries the song perfectly.”

Director Robert “Robo” Schober adds:

“The video is a surrealist crime drama set on a lost highway…the story loosely interprets key phrases from the song…the guys were awesome and put up with many hours of freezing temperatures in the middle of the desert.”

Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes attacked onstage

Posted by Michelle on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 5:35 PM (PST)

Bring Me The Horizon band photoOli Sykes, the frontman for metalcore outfit Bring Me The Horizon, was attacked onstage during the band’s show in Salt Lake City on October 3.

Not surprisingly Sykes became angry after bottles were thrown at him and the band midshow so he invited the perps to either leave or address him personally onstage.  Probably not the outcome he expected but some of the dudes actually jumped up on stage and chaos shortly ensued.  Sykes wasn’t harmed during the attack and after the incident returned to the stage to finish the set.

Read his blog statement and see the video of the attack here.

Judas Priest clarify “World Tour,” announce new release

Posted by Tommy on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 9:50 AM (PST)

British heavy metal legends Judas Priest have clarified what their “Epitaph World Tour.” There seemed to be a bit of confusing surrounding this “farewell tour” but the band has issued  a statement explaining what the tour really is. The band writes,

“We would like to clarify a situation that seems to be confusing a few people out there.

When we issued our press release to announce the farewell tour – we stated that it was the last major world tour for Judas Priest – nothing has changed – we didn’t say it was the end of the band or that we were going to retire or the band was going to break up……….. Just that it would be the last major world tour we would be doing which is still the case.

We have plans for a new album (which we have already announced in an earlier press release) plus possible future releases and we would still consider doing the odd live show – if it is something special or for a great cause – but no more world tours.”

There you have it. The band isn’t disbanding, the band simply won’t go on tours anymore!

Bring Me The Horizon drummer breaks hand while playing soccer

Posted by Ehrila on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 6:26 AM (PST)

Bring Me The Horizon drummer Matt Nicholls broke his hand during a game of soccer with Parkway Drive and Architects members. BMTH are currently on tour, and as Matt Nicholls wont be able to play, Architects drummer Dan Searle will be filling in on the remaining dates.

Matt Nicholls comments on the accident:

“It were a lovely day so members of BMTH, Parkway Drive and Architects decided to play footy and I made the stupid mistake of going in the net. The ball came to me and I knocked it away with my hands and Winston from Parkway Drive clipped my hand with his foot and there you have it, one broken hand.”

“I have to see a specialist in Sheffield to see if I need surgery or not but I’m not gonna be picking up drum sticks for about 6 weeks. It was an accident and you know, shit happens but I’ll tell you now, it’s the last time I wear gardening gloves in the net!”

New Video: Parkway Drive – “Karma”

Posted by NichTheHair on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 11:40 AM (PST)

In what looks to be just an average day for these Australian metallers, Parkway Drive definitely seem to be having some fun in the video for “Karma.” Taken from their latest release on Epitaph, “Deep Blue,” the video is shot on a beach with the Byron Bay quintet rocking out and then taking to the waves on surfboards. Yeah, that job must be terrible. Singer Winston McCall states “We just wanted to make a record that sounds like us.”
