Guitarist Marios Iliopoulos of melodic metal band Nightrage is at it again. In this video he demonstrates how to play “Surge of Pity” off of their third album A New Disease is Born. A New Disease is Born was released in 2007 via Lifeforce records.

Nightrage Album CoverGreek melodic death metallers, Nightrage, have released a new song entitled “Hate Turns Black” off their upcoming album “Insidious.” The album will be released through Lifeforce Records on September 26th in Europe and October 11th in North America.

The band also released new North American tour dates. The tour will last from October 9th through October 27th.

Grecian melo-death band Nightrage have opened their twisted minds to the world in the first part of a track by track breakdown of their fifth album, “Insidious.” The band has this to say about the album, which drops September 26th on Lifeforce:

“The new Nightrage album is ready! We are extremely happy with the results and we look forward to sharing this music with all of you.We recorded the music at Zero Gravity studios on Athens, Greece with our great friend Terry Nikas at the helm. He did a fantastic job and provided us with an amazing environment and atmosphere to make the best record possible. We have recorded sixteen songs overall, and as we promised before our guest players actually need no introduction.”

Nightrage unveil album art for “Insidious”

A month after releasing the track list and tour dates for the new album Insidious, Greek metalheads Nightrage are back to show off the fancy new artwork. 

Insidious is due out on September 27th (via Lifeforce) and the artwork for it was done by Gustavo Sazes, famous for myriads of other album artwork and prior collaboration with Nightrage.

Nightrage ready to reveal album details for “Insidious” plus tour dates

Nightrage is back again with their new album Insidious and they are bringing a ton of guests with the new record. Lifeforce Records has primed their fifth album for September 27th in the United States and will hit the road less than two weeks later with Firewind and Arsis.

The band had this to say about the new release:

“The new NIGHTRAGE album is ready! We are extremely happy with the results and we look forward to sharing this music with all of you.We recorded the music at Zero Gravity studios on Athens, Greece with our great friend Terry Nikas at the helm. New Video: Nightrage post third update from the studio

Greek melodic death metal quintet Nightrage have posted the third video update from Zero Gravity Studios where they recently began work on their yet to be titled upcoming album. This update captures the band’s work on recording guitars with Marios Iliopoulos as well as some guest vocals footage from Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates) and Tom S. Englund (Evergrey), recorded in Studio Fredman, Gothenburg.

Greek melodic death metal quintet Nightrage have posted the second video from Zero Gravity Studios where they recently began work on their newest album.  This episode features Anders and Olof recording bass and lead guitars and you can check it out here.

The new album is tentatively set to be released in late September via Lifeforce. Nightrage last released “Wearing a Martyr’s Crown” in August 2009.

Firewind headlining “Frets Of Fury” Tour with Arsis and Nightrage

Greece’s power metal quintet Firewind have announced the plans for a headlining tour with Arsis and Nightrage dubbed the “Frets Of Fury” tour.

The dates are yet to be announced, but we’ll post them as soon as they’re available. For now, you can check out the tour poster over <–there.

The band’s latest album “Days Of Defiance” was released this past October via Century Media.

Nightrage-“Vengeance Descending” Re-releases in form of double album

Nightrage dips into the past with this double-disc released today from Century Media. The package contains the Greek quintet’s “Sweet Vengeance” from 2003 and “Descent Into Chaos” from 2005. Also included are detailed liner notes by Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates), Marios Iliopoulos, Fredrik Nordström (Dream Evil, producer of At The Gates), In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, etc.) and Gus G. (Ozzy Osbourne, Firewind) as well as new artwork by Gustavo Sazes (Arch Enemy, The Crown, Firewind, Dream Evil and more). Another exclusive to this release is a previously unreleased track named “Gallant Deeds” featuring lead vocals by Mikael Stanne from Dark Tranquillity.

Nightrage released “Wearing a Martyr’s Crown” August 4th, 2009. Kerrang! lauded their current album stating the band “finds undeviating strength by looking back to a time when the Gothenburg-sound was at its peak to create one of the most jaw dropping metal releases of 2009!” Currently, the band is writing songs for the follow up album. An official due date has not been set.
