Entrails premiere latest single “Serial Murder (Death Squad)”

Posted by longhairedpoet on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 4:56 PM (PST)

Swedish death metallers Entrails have released their latest single “Serial Murder (Death Squad)” off of their upcoming album World Inferno which is due out on June 16  via Metal Blade Records.

Entrails guitarist Jimmy Lundqvist comments:

“It’s about time to unleash our next beast called ‘Serial Murder (Death Squad)’ – that means you should roll up your sleeves, loosen up your ponytail and get in the mood with a proper beer and prepare yourself for a trip among serial murders. The Death Squad awaits you!”

Dan Swano, who mixed and mastered the record had this to say:

“I don’t know if I had said this before, but I say it again. Every time I start thinking about putting together some new SweDeath project, Entrails show up at my doorstep with a new album to mix, and every time I think ‘Fuck!! – What’s the point in making my own project when this is so fucking good, and exactly what I wanted to do…’ And if I felt there were some details to improve upon from our previous work together, they fix that and then some, and return with an album even stronger than the previous one. What the fuck is going on in Linneryd!? Is Jimmy cloning death metal warriors in some barn over there or what!? To sum it up. Yet another amazing slab of SweDeath coming your way from Entrails! Beyond. Blown. Away!”

Swedish death mavens Entrails slime forth again to make most other bands look corny as heck. New album World Inferno (Pre Order and hear the new song HERE) will follow the mondo crushing Obliteration record. I like how the cover sort of calls to mind Raging Death as if the swampy skeleton and homies have finally conquered the entire world with metal. Sadly, Jack Terricloth from the amazing The World Inferno Friendship Society does not do spoken word cameos between album tracks, I am guessing. Regardless, Entrails are fucking amazing and just what the death doctor ordered to shake off those scene deathcore blues and get you feeling more like, uh…Wolverine Blues again, amirite?

Entrails guitarist Jimmy Lundqvist comments: “I am damn proud to finally unleash this nasty beast, a new chapter is written for Entrails to satisfy all old school maniacs out there. Having new blood in the band, Martin and Tommy, helped making this fifth album the rawest and heaviest to date. Prepare yourself to stretch out your neck in full headbanging!”

The recordings for World Inferno started in December 2016 in Lundqvist’s Bloodshed Studio. Dan Swano once again handled the mixing and mastering for the album. Dan Swano comments: “I don’t know if I had said this before, but I say it again. Death Sweders Entrails are great because they always just sound so plain FUGLY. The band create a consistent boiling vat of ashen char that you’ll choke down with a smile through broken teeth on every release. Even their demo recordings are essential listening for fans, not just self-indulgence.

Obliteration is the follow-up to 2013’s Raging Death full-length was tracked by guitarist Jimmy Lundqvist at his own Bloodshed Studios and mixed and mastered by legendary musician/soundsmith Dan Swanö (Edge Of Sanity, Bloodbath, Aeon, Hail Of Bullets etc.) at Unisound. The cover art looks like a really scary AD&D module come to life. I’m sold.

Comments Lundqvist: “Finally, we can unleash this beast named Obliteration to the fans out there, this time with a more driven and raw style that shall taste good to everyone’s ears if you’re into the older simplified death metal that we prefer to play. Recorded in our own Bloodshed Studios and mixed by the mighty Dan Swanö nothing else but slabby, Swedeath can be served.”

Rapid fire, raw buzzsaw death riffing somehow working with the tasteful lead textures and undead vocals await those who sample the third track, “Beyond The Flesh,” at THIS location.

Entrails-ResurrectedFromTheGrave

Look at this Gore-gous cover art!

Swedish death metal masters Entrails will release “Resurrected from the Grave (Demo Collection)” on July 22nd in North America!Head to metalblade.com/entrails to stream the first single “Blood Red” and pre-order your copy of the album.

I personally love these slimebags and think that, along with Coffins, they are a higher (mid) profile band that really do death metal right.

“Resurrected From The Grave – Demo Collection” contains the Entrails demos “Reborn” and “Human Decay,” features 18 total tracks, and will be released as a Digi-CD as well as on vinyl in Europe. In North American, the album will be available on CD and digitally.

Back in 2009, when the two Entrails demos were re-recorded and unleashed for the very first time, they were self released and homemade on CD-R and limited to 50 copies each. Back then, it had been decided that they would need to be re-pressed at some point in the future. Nearly five years after the first demo “Reborn” was unleashed – it’s finally time to release them officially via Metal Blade Records.

Entrails guitarist Jimmy Lundqvist comments: “It feels great to finally do something serious with the two demos from 2009, “Reborn” and “Human Decay.” After multiple requests from fans asking about the demos I had to release the brakes on this, now or never. While we are working on the upcoming new Entrails full-length, we feel better to do this release now which gives a bit more time for upcoming shows and the new album!”

The demo material is based on the ideas Entrails first worked on back in the 90’s in studio/rehearsal. For various reasons, they were never released back then and a few years later the band fell apart. Jimmy Lundqvist continued to write songs, riffs, and made sure to save them all on tape. Fifteen years passed before Jimmy decided to record these ancient relics with modern tools, computers, and some help from his brother in crime, Jocke Svensson on vocals. The first demo “Reborn” was recorded in early 2009 and the follow-up “Human Decay“shortly after in the summer of 2009.

entrails-berzerk

Swedish Death Metallers ENTRAILS have just finished recording two songs to be released on a limited 7″ vinyl single on the 28th of February! If that cover art doesn’t scream ‘METAL’ than I don’t know what does.

Side A will feature the title track “Berzerk”, side B a cover of HEAVY LOAD’s classic “Dreaming”.

The single will be available in black (300 copies), green (100 copies) and white (100 copies, excl. only available from HERE!).

Comments ENTRAILS: “With a small sidestep from our work in the massive rehearsals for the new album we decided to do a halfway release. The new song “Berzerk” is a straight forward fist of fury and Death metal terror, with some eeire elements. It’s a natural step from our latest album “Raging Death”. It will also appear on the next longplayer, slightly different in every term as this single was recorded and mixed by Jimmy in Entrails own studio. We also decided to do a cover of Heavy Loads Classic “Dreaming” though we did this one the Entrails way with D-beats and massive sound!”

Pre-order “Berzerk” in green and black vinyl at www.emp.de and in white vinly from HERE!

Album Review: Entrails – “Raging Death”

Posted by Allred on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 11:44 AM (PST)

entrails

Buy it…I mean really, just go buy it…I did. Honestly, what more could I really say, other than telling you of the fact that I went to my local music store and threw down my own, hard-earned money. That is how good Entrails and their third album, Raging Death, are – worthy of your hard-earned money good.

If you’ve ever had a love for anything about the old-school Swedish death metal scene, or even just a slight inkling or curiosity, then you will definitely enjoy Raging Death. The follow-up to 2011’s The Tomb Awaits, finds Entrails proving, once again, that they are indeed the real deal and not just a retro movement rehash.

Get the rest of the non-rehash details here.
