OMNIUM GATHERUM have just released their brand new single “Blade Reflections”. It is now available on all streaming and download platforms and will also be featured on a limited Edition Omnium Gatherum / Skalmöld split 7-inch, which will be available on the upcoming "Arctic Circle Alliance” European Tour (see below for all dates). You can watch the lyric video for “Blade Reflections” streaming here: https://youtu.be/j5glljbcJPw Singer Jukka Pelkonen comments, "In the light of recent events we wanted to voice our opinion about the tragedy of suicide. This is a subject that may concern anyone at some point. ʻBlade Reflectionsʼ is a statement against suicide and an encouragement to all of those who dwell in the depths of self-annihilation. Having been there myself too, I know how devastating it can be. There is nothing more precious than this life itself and it is worth seeing through. Though, we do not condemn those who choose to go, rather we want to stand by with all the rest, all of us, who are staying."

Death metal’s speed obsessed sons of darkness Hate Eternal don’t ever fuck around in their quest to represent metal to the fullest. Their newest song is a real scorcher, one of the more listenable (some people can’t take this band’s intensity) songs they’ve done yet still truly punishing. Love these dudes. There are some riffs in here you will want embedded into your face/skull. The track titled “The Stygian Deep”, is streaming now at Stereogum.
Regarding the new track, HATE ETERNAL founder Erik Rutan comments: “”The Stygian Deep” has a very compelling and intriguing energy to it, dynamic and expanded yet aggressively rooted in the tradition of Hate Eternal. A very black mysterious journey that develops through many passages as you listen. A musical landscape of much depth and darkness…”
Infernus will be released worldwide by Season of Mist on August 21. Pre-orders for the album across multiple CD and LP bundles are available at the Season of Mist E-Shop. HATE ETERNAL previously released the first track from ‘Infernus’, “Pathogenic Apathy”, here.
New album Infernus is sure to be a thrill ride if other tracks are half this good and I’m loving the snare attack. Between this, Gutter Instinct and the mindfuck of the recent Alkaloid record, this is an awesome death metal year even if this is only a “halftime report”.

At times perhaps the most extreme death metal band in the world (when it comes to speed, insane arrangements and quality), Hate Eternal have announced their inclusion in the Metal Alliance Tour this year. The band recently signed to one of my favorite labels Season Of Mist and have new material pending.
Regarding their forthcoming album, Rutan comments, “The recording process has been fantastic so far. I’ve never felt so focused and determined on a Hate Eternal record, and I know that this will be an album our listeners and supporters will truly appreciate. It represents an important milestone for me personally since 15 years ago both Hate Eternal began recording it’s first album and Mana Recording Studios was born. We have so much more news to share with you over the coming months. We’re super proud of what we’ve accomplished creatively, and excited at the prospect of releasing what we feel is our most powerful Hate Eternal material to date.”

Season of Mist is proud to announce the signing of legendary death metal band HATE ETERNAL. Helmed by founder, guitarist/vocalist, primary songwriter and acclaimed producer Erik Rutan, HATE ETERNAL has been one of the leading bands in the worldwide death metal scene for over eighteen years. The band’s five full-length albums are considered crucial genre touchstones, and the band is a proven headliner across five continents.
HATE ETERNAL (Rutan [guitar, vocals] and J.J. Hrubovcak [bass/vocals]) are currently holed up in Rutan’s Mana Recording studio (CANNIBAL CORPSE, MOUNTAIN GOATS, GOATWHORE) recording a new album that will be released in early 2015.
Regarding the recording Rutan comments, “We are ecstatic about how the recording for our new album has been coming out so far, and our new label and home Season Of Mist. We’ve worked very hard on crafting these songs to reflect our path, from our past to the present, and the journey of Hate Eternal and its members. Writing this album was a long and arduous process. It took a tremendous amount of determination, blood, and sweat to bring this all to fruition. We’re super proud of what we’ve accomplished creatively, and excited at the prospect of releasing what we feel is our most powerful Hate Eternal material to date.”Add to My Radar

The band commented:
“Origin and Extreme Management Group are happy to announce what will undoubtedly be the most brutal, uncompromising, brain damaging tour of the summer! Hate Eternal, Vital Remains, Abysmal Dawn, and your favorite mid western based death cyclone, Origin. We are very excited to finally rejoin our old friends, Hate Eternal on the road for the first time since 2002. This will also be our second time out with Abysmal Dawn and our first time with the legendary Vital Remains. Could it get any better?
Well… of course it can, because this tour will mark our first full length run with new vocalist, Jason Keyser (Skinless, Mucopus). It took some time for us to arrive at this point, but be ready for the most blistering Origin performances to date. See you all on tour!”
