Cane Hill premieres “It Follows” over at RevolverMag.com

Posted by longhairedpoet on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 1:12 AM (PST)

Louisiana nu metallers Cane Hill have released their newest track “It Follows” via RevolverMag.com.

“It Follows” comes off the band’s forthcoming album Too Far Gone due out January 19 via Rise Records.

About “It Follows”, singer Elijah Witt told Revolver, “This was a really fun song to write and it probably took us the longest. It’s heavy and catchy all at once. We were trying to go for full on ‘metal epic’ without over-reaching and I think we did just that.”

Cane Hill will be hitting the road soon to tour with Of Mice & Men, Blessthefall and Fire From the Gods.

Check out “It Follows” as well as other recent Cane Hill tracks and the band’s upcoming tour dates here.

As summer draws to an end so do the season’s festivals. Now you’re probably wondering what prompted me to wait so long to post this.
Along with crazy technical difficulties on my end, I really wanted to see how this summer’s festival season would end. Let’s be honest…there was
quite a bit of drama going on. For those of you who haven’t been keeping up to date with everything here is a quick recap of everything that has transpired this summer.

– After The Burial member dead after leaving a horrifying Facebook post for fans to see, forcing the band to cancel their appearance on The Summer Slaughter Tour
– Drama between the bands on Mayhem Festival (Slayer’s King vs Victory Records’ stage)
– The end of Mayhem Festival as a whole (poor ticket sales, Kevin Lyman’s “Old and Fat” comment)
– Warped Tour’s Front Porch Step mishap / Slaves being kicked off or ‘Voted off’ the tour / the tour turned 21

Now, where to begin? Let us begin with After The Burial’s unfortunate loss. After the eerie post by Justin Lowe stating that people were setting him up for crimes he hadn’t committed, the band took to Facebook stating that despite their efforts to assist Lowe that they had been unsuccessful in their attempts to pick him out of this slump that he had been in. The band cited mental illness as the reason for his off the wall Facebook post.

Blessthefall has a new video and ‘m really liking the minimalism and good core concepts/elements with the hi fi but still raw blend of heavy and pop. Check out “Walk On Water” BELOW.

Listening to some folks out the window on the street bum cigs off one another and it’s hella depressing. They really sound like they are selling rare baseball cards to one another. Hack. So glad I quit. Terrible for singing voice and so maybe I’ll have one or two a year if shared with a real comet of a human being.

On a more electric note, Chiodos and Blessthefall (Eric Lambert was recently interviewed on our site) have been hitting the road and wowing crowds of kids eager for energetic live shows. Not everyone is just into their phones these days. There is hope, concertgoers. Check out these cool live shots from photographer Matt Slater and take heart.
