Well, we have 2x good news today. Trump’s re-election poll numbers suck, with almost every Democratic potential candidate ahead of his sorry corrupt grifter ass at the moment. You know it is bad when you are complaining the Republican has made taxes unbearable, haha. I don’t even mind paying a fair rate but it’s a lot harder to swallow the pill of a big tax bill when you know what a slimy, millions in Golf wasting crook we have in the White House. We can’t get to cocky or even afford to keep the dipshit in office that long and there is more than enough reason to impeach if Pelosi would get the friggin’ memo.

In other news, crusty experimental rockers Tau Cross are friggin’ brilliant and their new material sounds exciting. Some people weren’t as stoked on their second album as the debut (I dug both, with the debut slightly ahead) – but the new tune is one of my favorites from them yet. That big ole pick scrape over the rattly Away drums into that catchy riff before the charred mosh and hoarse Baron vocals come in…yeah! This is a pit starter! It was recorded at Signaturetone Studios and mastered by Adam Tucker (Thou, False).

Messengers Of Deception will be available on CD, 2xLP, and Digital formats. Physical packages are available for preorder via Relapse.com HERE. Digital downloads / streaming services are available HERE.

Tau Cross announce new album, premiere song

Posted by Metal Riot on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 12:33 PM (PST)

TAU CROSS, the multinational punk/heavy metal collective featuring Amebix bassist/frontman Rob “The Baron” Miller, Voivod drummer Michel “Away” Langevin, and members of cult crust outfits Misery and War//Plague, has announced their second full-length album, Pillar Of Fire, due out July 21st on CD, 2xLP, and digital formats via Relapse Records.

In advance of the record’s release, the band is pleased to unveil a music video for first single “Deep State.” Directed by Jakub Moth, the video can be viewed at THIS LOCATION.

Comments TAU CROSS on the new album: “Pillar Of Fire is the continuation of some of the ideas that were explored on our first album. This time we have managed to share the songwriting more equally and introduce some other textures to the songs. This should help to establish TAU CROSS as less of a one-off phenomenon and more of an ongoing musical collective producing our own distinctive sonic environment.”

Pillar Of Fire was recorded across three different countries and co-produced by “The Baron” in the same manner as their eponymous debut. The drums were tracked in Montreal, guitars in Minneapolis, bass in Seattle and Minneapolis, and vocals on the Isle Of Skye in Scotland.

Physical preorders and exclusive bundles are currently available via Relapse.com at THIS LOCATION. Digital preorders are available via Bandcamp HERE.

“TAU CROSS are delighted to announce that we have been invited to play at the 2016 Roadburn Festival. This will be our only upcoming European show, we are all looking forward to playing at this very special event” – Rob Miller.

Organizers say:

“Having TAU CROSS on the main-stage is causing us joy of unbridled proportions.
