Monday ‘Merica Moshivation: Laterals, Gemini Syndrome

Posted by Morgan Ywain Evans on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 7:36 PM (PST)

Happy start to your week, patriots. And by patriots I mean anyone who hates Trump. I am sweating like crazy from the New York heatwave (otherwise known as probably the new regular weather thanks to global warming now).  Had a good weekend and there was even a pro immigration #FamiliesBelongTogether march by my apartment. What else is going on? I just bought a copy of The Last Jedi to own fanboy losers out there who hate it and am looking forward to enjoying the amazing cast performances, especially from Carrie Fisher, again soon as I am done writing this.

As we head into the 4th of July week, remember kids: We are the spark that will light the fire that will restore the Republic. That spark, this Resistance, must survive. That is our mission.

Laterals are a New York based power smoothie of alternative rock, emo/punk and melodic adrenaline. The more punk or emo approving fans on this site who have a wider range of tastes than, say, dirty laundry insistent death metal addicts, will want to check out the acts new release Retrotech.  The sludge pop indie duo could rock alongside many types of bands and features vocalist guitarist Dee Kelley and drummer and vocalist Nate Kelley (ex-Shabutie/Coheed, Divest). Their newest exciting effort Retrotech was recorded, mixed and co-produced by Greg Talenfeld at OK Records, Nyack, NY. Good people. Show ’em support.

Alternative metal five-piece Gemini Syndrome is slated to headline the Synner Conversion Tour this summer, taking a break from writing their third studio album, expected to be released in late 2018 via RED MUSIC. Gemini Syndrome are an incredible blend live of driving worn groove underground sing-a-long hard rock anthems and emotional highs and lows. I saw them with In This Moment and would certainly see them again.

“The Oracle has foreseen that Gemini Syndrome will be sharing the stage with fellow conspirators, Code Red Riot, occurring in alignment with the Estival Solstice. This Summer Conversion is a recess in writing and recording our next album, the third and final act of the trilogy. We look forward to sharing this sacred rite with you.” – Brian Steel Medina (drums)

Posted by Morgan Ywain Evans on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 5:11 PM (PST)

Meegs from Coal Chamber has joined talented melodic hard/groove rockers Gemini Syndrome. I feel like it is gonna be a good fit.

Speaking about the addition of Meegs to the band, Brian Medina (drums) shares, “We couldn’t be more pleased to bring Meegs into the Gemini Syndrome Family. He is such a creative and innovative musician, and one of my most trusted and closest friends on this Earth. He’s been here since the inception of Gemini Syndrome, and it’s great to bring someone who is already family into the fold.”

Fans can purchase VIP packages for Gemini Syndrome’s “Brought To Light” tour, which include an exclusive acoustic performance HERE.
