June wrap up: 4 favorite records of the month (Morgan)

Posted by Morgan Ywain Evans on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 3:58 PM (PST)

Hey everyone. June has been a completely crazy month but there was a lot of brilliant stuff released. Let’s get right to it and look at my four favorite releases of June 2018 Below.

Gruesome takes top spot for me this month. The cover art for Twisted Prayers is so damn metal and also summarizes the complete disgust I feel for the so called God fearing power hungry fascist monsters trying to turn us into zombies in a new crusades.

Gruesome complete new record, Summer European tour announced

Posted by Morgan Ywain Evans on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 2:53 PM (PST)

Cool death metal news today as Gruesome have completed the follow up to Savage Land. Yes, the other releases from them were EPs. Their latest studio offering, titled Twisted Prayers, was recorded with producer Jarrett Pritchard (Exhumed, 1349, Goatwhore, Wolvhammer) at New Constellation Studios in Orlando, Florida. Twisted Prayers follows Death’s paradigm shift during the Spiritual Healing era, incorporating more cerebral, melodic instrumentation with elements of thrash and thought-provoking, socially conscious lyrics. The record once again features artwork from the legendary Ed Repka (Death, Megadeth, Venom) and is expected to be released this summer via Relapse Records. Stay tuned for more info to be announced in the coming weeks.

Love this project, just a big fat Death appreciation party in good fun. You know each time Gruesome return that it will be a very metal time. The band also have a slew of Euro tour dates you can check out BELOW.
