We’re stoked today to help spread the dark anti-gospel of Italian black metal act XEPER‘s new release Ad Numen Satanae. While the Garden of Eden snake on the cover art does kind of look like a lovable if mischievous missing cast member from The Land Before Time series wandered into a hot and heavy moment between Adam and Eve whilst innocently seeking a tree star, this record is actually pretty evil. Spare but crisp production meets sophisticated but molten black and coldly focused dark path passion. It is a cleaner sound than some early wave BM fans will like but to my ears it is a great blend of classic aesthetics and more sophisticated musicianship.

The album will be available on CD and digitally via Soulseller Records on February 26th 2021. The vinyl release follows on May 7th.

XEPER was formed in 2007 in Treviso / Italy by guitarist Guh.Lu, best known as a former member of bands such as Setherial or Impiety and currently as the bass player of Gorgoroth. The project features musicians from the worldwide Black Metal scene like V. Einride (Whoredom Rife) on drums, Maelstrom on vocals and guest appearances of the great Blasphemer (Vltimas, ex-Mayhem, Aura Noir), Mantus (Patria) and various others.

Metal PosterSome of the best music from the world of metal has influenced some of the best movies ever made. From the classics to the most brutal new additions in the metal cinematic pantheon, Metal Riot is here to suggest some of the best movies that feature metal, are about metal musicians, or feature a metal moment. Going beyond just the soundtrack, we hope to show you selections from the metal movie library that every metal fan needs to see. Metalheads love movies too, so let’s take a look at some Metal Movie Moments!

The very first edition of metal movie moments focused on a documentary that covered a grim aspect of black metal, while today’s addition covers all metal. It may be the best attempt to categorize, philosophize, and explain metal in the history of film, but we will let you be the judge of that.

Gorgoroth announce European tour dates

Posted by Lucas Riot on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 7:03 PM (PST)

Gorgoroth European tourIn November 2010, Gorgoroth will embark on what will be the 2nd leg of the “Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt” tour in Europe, following the nine dates of the tour which took place in April this year.

Comments Infernus, “We’re totally excited about this! To get the opportunity to extend the Quantos Possunt-tour into other European territories which we did not have time for in April. As of now, we aim at doing this as the 2nd out of three in total. This also coincides with the beginning of a new chapter for us in terms of booking-agency, as I last week made up my mind and decided to switch to Massive Music for the continental parts of Europe. Fear the return!”
