Have you seen the new Morgoth video for “Traitor”?

Posted by Morgan Ywain Evans on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 1:22 PM (PST)

Morgoth  are not the most championed of metal bands but are certainly one of the most solid. New video “Traitor” is gritty death metal with a street feel, a sense of raw nerve unease in the still liberating and grim music that connects directly to the central nervous system when paired with the images of struggle, exploitation and conflict in the video footage. The riffs are simple, effective and punishing as cymbals clang and depressing images of child soldiers ruin your ignorantly blissful day. Ungod is the band’s latest record via Century Media and “Traitor” was
directed, filmed & edited by Dirk Behlau,

Tour: Morgoth announces nothing solid.

Posted by tyrusrunyan on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11:28 AM (PST)

German death metal band Morgoth have announced that they will continue to tour in the New Year, “with a few casual shows.” The band ended their touring this past year with Barge to Hell and sat down to talk about the future of Morgoth over some drinks and came up with the following:

Morgoth stated: “Happy new year 2013!

‘Barge To Hell’ was a great way to end the past year/s of MORGOTH activities as well as to complete the original plans we had for the “Cursed Reunion”. We also had a lot of time for cocktails and talks on the cruise and discussed how to move forwards with the band in 2013…

While we won’t make it as busy of a schedule as the past 2 years, we decided to remain available for some few casual shows and will have some first date to announce in the coming days.

This way, we will hopefully be able to appear in some places/countries we didn’t visit before as part of the reunion or actually ever before.

Thanks again for all your support and stay tuned for more news soon…

German death metal legends Morgoth announce hiatus

Posted by SeanB on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 7:08 AM (PST)

German death metal legends Morgoth reunited for the first time in almost 15 years, but it looks like it’s all coming to an end.  The band has released the following statement:

“After all the great experiences we made on the ‘Cursed Reunion’ so far, the time is now come to have a closer look at the past 18 months of Morgoth’s comeback, which has successfully re-connected us with many old friends as well as also a lot of new fans…

Summer Breeze and Brutal Assault marked the last two festival appearances which we had scheduled as part of this long journey through time. This reunion has been an amazing run, truly full of awesome experiences which we will cherish for a very long time. Our songs are about 20 years old by now and even though we had been absent from stages for about 13 of those years, we nevertheless managed to once again set free the raw energy of our classic Death Metal style in a powerful way.
