Drain’s CALIFORNIA CURSED is gonna wreck your world in the best way

It is a depressing time in music right now with all the Coronavirus valid concerns causing great tours from Car Bomb to GosT to Gruesome and Krisiun to be taken out behind the shed and put to bed. I figure everyone is feeling pretty down and it sucks that I can’t stop thinking about Tom Hanks having to self-quarantine back on the island with Wilson. Not far, man. Seriously though, much love to everyone.

Seems like a good time to get people psyched on some tunes they will soon be able to stream in the coming weeks once some of the best albums to listen to in early Spring drop. Here are five selections for records to check out in the coming months as we rock our woes away. We can still bond together via social media about music while we remember to please wipe our phone and tablet screens often so as not to affect elderly and immunocompromised loved ones.

Ok here are my choices for the coolest things coming out in upcoming weeks! Read more HERE.

Unless you are a huge snob with a giant stick up your ass, you can admit that In This Moment are one of the most enjoyable live bands out there with an over the top production and stage presence as well as huge sounding tunes that blow away most bands these days. You will always get your money’s worth and leave entertained. I would go see them basically anytime with zero hesitation. Maria rules and runs a great band.

Big tour announcement today for 2020 as In This Moment announce dates with the loved or reviled Black Veil Brides (guess what? They also rule, haters stay pressed). This is gonna be a bad ass and BIG tour. Ded and Raven Black are the lucky openers here. Get pumped.

Here is my fave In This Moment tune “River Of Fire” to satiate you until you go to this tour.

Here’s a little Black Veil also for you crying hardcore kid snobs. Hahaha. \m/

Some people who are more kvlt bag on In This Moment because they are (gasp) melodic and poppy at times, theatrical and very popular. Guess what? They are blowing away acts much bigger than them on the regular and won me over hugely after I finally saw them live. Maria Brink couldn’t possibly be more committed to what she is doing and “Roots” is sure to win more converts as she leads her band in a song of strength and resilience. They put in 100% in presentation, a huge layered rock sound and striking energy and passion. Check out this latest cut from Ritual.

Some artwork was revealed today and fans are freaking out. “River Of Fire”, a new song the band has been playing live, was fucking awesome when I saw them in Albany (one of the biggest highlights of the set). More news as we get it.

Five Finger Death Punch and Papa Roach to co-headline tour

Posted by longhairedpoet on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 3:42 PM (PST)

Heavy metal giants Five Finger Death Punch and their hard rock compatriots in Papa Roach are teaming up to decimate arenas all across North America.

The tour will see support from In This Moment and From Ashes to New.

Zoltan Bathory, guitarist for FFDP had this to say about the tour:

“This tour is shaping up to be the perfect storm. We are really good friends with Papa Roach so for years we’ve been talking about touring together and it’s finally coming together in a big way. Both 5fdp and Papa Roach are bands of the people – our fans are who propelled us to success. So what better way than to give the fans ownership in the tour? In the world of Wikipedia and Kickstarter where crowd funding and crowd sourcing has become the standard of community effort and the new way of making things happen this might quite possibly be the future of touring – you simply ask the fans where they want you to go.”

Jacoby Shaddix, vocalist of Papa Roach had this to say:

“We are super excited to be sharing the stage on this co-headliner with FFDP. This will give Papa Roach the chance to put on the best, most epic live show to date. Our fans are going to be so stoked for these shows coming up. We seriously can’t wait to get out on the road for this tour.”

Check out the video for Papa Roach’s “Gravity” and In This Moment’s “Sex Metal Barbie” as well as the tour dates here.
