Engel announces release date of new album “Blood of Saints”

The Swedish melodic death metal band Engel announce that their third album Blood of Saints will be released on May 18th. The first single off of the album entitled “Question Your Place” can be heard via Season’s of Mist’s media player here. Swedish station Bandit Radio will also premiere the video clip of the song on Friday, April 13th.

The band has also released the cover art (which can be seen on the right) and the track listing which can be seen here.

Paradise Lost confirmed for “Close-Up Båten” cruise in Sweden

British Gothic metal band Paradise Lost have officially been added to the Swedish “Close-Up Båten” cruise. The one-day cruise is set to feature performance from Adept, Black City, Bullet, Engel, Napalm Death, and Raised Fist, and will depart from Stockholm, Sweden port on February 10 for Åbo, Finland.

The band will be re-releasing their album, “Draconian Times.” This time however, the album will be released with their current label, Century Media records.

EngelSwedish industrial metal band Engel are streaming three new tracks from their recently released album “Threnody.”  The three songs “Six Feet Deep,” “For Those Who Will Resist,” and “Feed the Weak” are currently available for streaming from the band’s Myspace page.  “Threnody,” the second album from the band, was released in Europe on November 8th, and is scheduled to be released in North America on January 11, 2011 through Season of Mist.

Engel also recently released a behind the scenes “making of” video for the filming of the music video for “Six Feet Deep.”

The band’s debut album “Absolute Design” was released in 2007 via SPV Records.

Video: Engel behind the scenes making of “Six Feet Deep” music video

Engel - ThrenodyOn October 20th, Swedish industrial metal act Engel premiered the video for the song “Six Feet Deep,” from their upcoming album “Threnody” due to be released in Europe on November 8th through Season of Mist.  Additionally they have now released a short behind the scenes “Making of Six Feet Deep” video.

The band commented, “In this day and age Videos still remain an important part of the music making process and of course a very competitive one. To us its important to always be involved in every aspect of creating these projects from story board, filming, financing etc. As always, PA Nilsson is the man we trust to help make our vision happen and am still not sure how he does it but am honoured to work with such an amazing film maker,director, editor and all around great guy!”

Engel sign new record deal with Season of Mist

Engel - ThrenodySwedish industrial metal band Engel have just signed a new record deal with Season of Mist to release their forthcoming album “Threnody”.  “Threnody” will be out the 8th of november in Europe, and it will something extra from the Japan edition.  This version will come as a Digipak strictly limited to the first pressing and will include two exclusive tracks which were not featured on the original Japanese release!  The album will be released in the US on January 11, 2011.

 “Threnody” is available for pre-order on Season of Mist’s online store.
